Get Offline

The entirety of the book was a warning.

I believe the Internet and human folly brought us to this point.

Here’s Carr’s book coming out on January 28:

Here’s his latest Substack post.

The tools of web design (and of my favorite, Squarespace) are more elegant and powerful than ever. So together, we can create something beautiful that resonates with your people — then get offline, get on with living.

I was thrilled to design Mona Peck’s site recently. She’s a music practitioner and music-thanatologist based in Hawaii, and a student/friend of my mentor and client Therese Schroeder-Sheker. Our phone calls! The coffee! A joy.

My longtime client Phil Madeira just launched a huge Kickstarter project that’s full of his giftedness and soul. Lots of great add-ons, too. And the Georgian Chamber Players are gearing up for their Winter Concert (I may tinker with the page some more). Tickets go on sale soon.

All live mostly offline, whether digging in the garden, hiking, playing/singing, or slalom skiing. Plus eating, drinking, merry. Their sites are merely catalysts for connection IRL.

Now to stare at snow~
